Johnny was raised in Mason City, IA, and graduated from Mason City High School and NIACC before attending Iowa State University. He is a retired Div I hockey official who met his amazing wife at an Iowa State Cyclones hockey game so many years ago. Ashley and Johnny returned to North Iowa in 2019 to be closer to family and put down roots. Their “fur” child is a six-pound Pomeranian named Cricket, and they just welcomed a new baby girl in November of 2024. If you see Johnny driving around town in his well-loved box-truck "Old Yeller", give him a wave!
